Oxford, St Thomas the Martyr, Oxford

About our church
In the 19th century, S. Thomas' Church was in the forefront of the Tractarian Movement. Today we are proud to maintain the Anglican Catholic tradition in our worship and ceremonial. We use the Book of Common Prayer, the English Missal, and Common Worship, with traditional musical settings. S. Thomas the Martyr is a 3-Resolution parish, under the care of the Bishop of Ebbsfleet.

A comprehensive history of St Thomas the Martyr Church (published 2003) is available at the church, price £5.00.

On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, Mass is usually said at 7.45 am. You can check this by phoning the Parish Priest, Fr John Hunwicke, on (01865) 246050.
