East Layton: Christ Church, East Layton

This church is a little jewel of a building supposedly to a design based on Worcester cathedral. It has some wonderful stone carvings and woodwork. The church has a ring of four bells but there is no active band to ring them.
East Layton is a private chapel operated as a chapel of ease within the parish of Forcett. As part of the joint benefice of the Stanwick Group of Churches, it may sometimes be necessay to divert from the normal rotation of services.
