About our church
This church is a little jewel of a building supposedly to a design based on Worcester cathedral. It has some wonderful stone carvings and woodwork. The church has a ring of four bells but there is no active band to ring them.
East Layton is a private chapel operated as a chapel of ease within the parish of Forcett. As part of the joint benefice of the Stanwick Group of Churches, it may sometimes be necessay to divert from the normal rotation of services. Held on the second Sunday of the month, normally. This service may be Holy Communion or Mattins Please check the benefice website for this month's details.
This service is at 10.30 a.m. except in January, April, July and October when it is held at 9.00a.m. every second Sunday at 10:30 AM for 1 hour
Evening Prayer
Held on fourth Sunday of the month. This service is liable to cancellation. Please check our website.
Monthly every fourth Sunday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour
