St Mary's is the Anglican Parish Church
serving the Village of Datchet.
Since 30th April 2008 it is now part of
the newly formed benefice of
Colnbrook & Datchet.
'Our Vision For 2008 Onwards' fully supports Bishop John's
Vision of "Sharing Life+".
Our Worship includes both traditional liturgies and
more informal services.
There is a strong musical tradition and the Church
extends a warm welcome to Worshippers & Visitors
from all backgrounds.
Children are welcomed to the main Sunday services.
The Church is open to Visitors at all times possible during daylight hours. Normally the Church would be locked again at 4.00pm -4.30pm unless an evening Service or Activity is planned.

Said 'Communion Service'(BCP)
Held on 1st & 3rd Sundays of each month.
Said 'Matins'.
Held on 2nd, 4th & 5th Sundays of each month.
Every first and third Sunday at 8:00 AM for ½ hour
Parish Communion
Sunday morning worship is at 9.30am on the 1st,2nd and 4th Sundays of each month and includes a sermon, congregational and choral music. This is replaced on the 3rd Sunday of most months by a Family Service. 'Family Communion with Baptisms' is held on the 1st Sunday of every Month at the 0930 Service am. Sunday School
We meet every Sunday (except when there is a Family Service) in the Church Room in Term Time and half term holidays. Children from ages 3 to 12 years are welcome. For more details contact Sally Nicholls on 01753 542983.

Family Service
Once a month the normal morning service is replaced with a more informal Themed Family Service, supported by The Choir and The Datchet St Mary's Music Group.
This takes place on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
Every third Sunday at 9:30 AM for 1 hour
Joint Sung Eucharist
A Joint Sung Eucharist will be celebrated on the 4th Sunday of each month with our sister Church of St Thomas'Colnbrook.
In March, June, September & December this will be at Colnbrook and on all other months at St Mary's Datchet.
(Transport is available to get to either Parish for these Services.) HOWEVER PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES: 28th September 2008 will now be St. Mary's Datchet (for our joint Harvest Festival) and 26th October 2008 will now be at St Thomas' Colnbrook.
Every fourth Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour
Evening Worship
Evening Worship on the 2nd Sunday of each month will take the form of a meditative Taize-Iona style service or a Healing Service or one of our popular 'God In The Life Of.......' services.(We have had a variety of interesting speakers ! )

The choir of St. Mary's regularly sing Choral Evensong. This (BCP) service is normally held on the 4th Sunday of the month but can vary depending on choir holidays and the liturgical seasons.

CrecheThere is a Creche facility available for Children of 0-3 years. This is at the Vicarage (adjacent to the Church) during each main Sunday Service (excluding Family Service). Three Sundays Per Month
every Sunday at 9:30 AM for 1 hour
Lunch ClubsLunch Club Meetings take place once a month on a Sunday. Members of the Church sign up to 'Host' a meal for other members in their home. The Lunches raise money for Church funds. Details are shown on a list at the back of church. Sign the list at the back of church if you wish to attend (or Host).Everyone agrees that they are good fun !

Pram ServiceA Fortnightly Service. (2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month during school term time.) Young Children (0-4years), Parents, Grandparents and Carers have a great time.Each Service is themed with singing accompanied by instruments for the Children. The Choir of St. Mary'sThe Choir of St. Mary's sings a wide range of music at all the main Services and consists of around 20 adults and children. New members are always 'very' welcome. All Souls Day
All Souls Day falls on Monday 3rd November this year. At Datchet St Mary's we will be observing this day with our traditional Bereavement Service which will be held at 8pm in Church. The Choir will assist at this service by singing Gabriel Faure's Requiem. If you would like to have a friend or loved one remembered by name at the Service, please contact Revd. Peter Wyard via the Parish Office.

Remembrance Sunday Service
Remembrance Sunday this year falls on Sunday 9th November. The Service in Church will begin at 10.00am in order to be at the War Memorial on the Village Green in time for the 'two minutes silence' at 11.00am. There will follow the laying of the Wreaths by members of the Royal British Legion and representatives of the Village Organisations to honour the memory of the fallen in the two World Wars and other more recent conflicts.

Advent Meditation Service
A perfect way to prepare for Advent before the rush that leads up to Christmas. A contemplative Service with music to match to provide some space to think about what the Christmas season really means to us as Christians. "Living Faith"
The "Living Faith" Study Day was a Conference about renewing the energy and vision for evangelism within our Churches. It took place in Oxford in early June.
