St John's - the Parish Church of Caterham Valley. We are always pleased to welcome new people to our services and social events. Please email or phone for further details.

The parish covers the whole of Caterham Valley and is also a part of the Caterham Team Ministry. We also have an associated church school, St John's Primary School.

All our services (including services for feast days) are listed below, as well as information about baptisms, weddings and the calling of banns.

We don't have a creche as such - at the back of the church is a children's corner where parents can sit with their children while they play and still listen to the service. 5s and over can meet with our Junior Church during term-time.

Holy Communion

Book of Common Prayer service
Every Sunday at 8:00 AM

Junior Church

Junior Church meets every Sunday during term-time. We start in the church at 10am and go off to our own activities during the first hymn and return for the administration of communion. On the 3rd Sunday of the month we stay in church for the family service.
Every Sunday at 10:00 AM

Parish Eucharist

Common Worship Order One choral eucharist. On the 3rd Sunday of each month it is a more informal Family Communion, often a parade service, and our music group play at the service. There is a children's corner at the back of church.
Every Sunday at 10:00 AM

Family Service

An shorter informal service for all ages. Usually non-eucharistic, but a communion every third month (Feb, May, Aug, Nov). PLEASE NOTE - there is no service in January as we join together at 10am for a Family Communion for the feast of the Epiphany
Every first Sunday at 11:45 AM for ¾ hour

Evensong

Book of Common Prayer evensong on the 1st and 3rd Sundays. On the 3rd Sunday it is normally a full choral service.
Every first and third Sunday at 6:00 PM
