Goosey: All Saints, Goosey

One of the undiscovered treasures of Oxfordshire, All Saints was originally a chapel linked to Abingdon Abbey. It is believed to date from the 13th century, and to have been the chapel used by the monks who kept the abbey's geese, on 'goose' island. Tucked away in the corner of the green, it now serves the hamlet of Goosey, with its population of about 100.
We have two regular services a month and special celebrations at Harvest and Christmas. Our services are normally traditional.
It is part of the combined parish with Stanford, where our services are geared more for families and young people. In practice our congregations worship in each others' churches freely.
