Epsom: St Martin, Epsom

St Martin's is a long, light and airy church, rebuilt and extended several times since the first foundation, probably in Saxon times.
Our tower is mediaeval. The nave is Georgian, with regular pews. The transepts and chancel were greatly extended in Edwardian times and have comfortable chairs. The organ is on a generous scale, being designed by an organist of St Paul's Cathedral.
Our principal service is Parish Communion. Children are admitted to communion after an explanatory course. We were among the first churches to offer extended communion to parishioners too unwell to attend. Preparation for confirmation is shared with Epsom's two other Anglican churches and with Epsom Methodist Church.
